Who is eligible?
The LTR Visa offers 4 categories tailored to different applicant types:
Wealthy Global Citizens, Wealthy Pensioners, Remote Professionals, and Highly-Skilled Experts.
Wealthy Global Citizens
For high-net-worth individuals with significant income or assets.
- Minimum USD 1 million in assets
- Personal income of at least USD 80,000/year for the past 2 years
- Investment of at least USD 500,000 in Thai government bonds, real estate, or FDI
Wealthy Pensioners
For retirees aged 50+ who want to settle long-term in Thailand.
- Annual pension or stable passive income of at least USD 80,000
- Alternatively, USD 40,000 income/year with a USD 250,000 Thai investment
Work-from-Thailand Professionals
For remote workers employed by well-established overseas companies.
- Minimum income of USD 80,000/year in the last 2 years
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years work experience
- Employed by a public company or private company with USD 150+ million revenue
Highly-Skilled Professionals

To qualify, you must meet all requirements for your chosen category and provide supporting documents. All applicants also need either health insurance with at least USD 50,000 coverage or a Thai bank deposit of USD 100,000.
