Doi Inthanon National Park
🗺️ Chiang Mai | Day Tour | Doi Inthanon National Park
Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain at 2,565 meters, is part of a national park established in 1972 and spans over 482 square kilometers. Known for its cool climate year-round, temperatures can even drop to zero during the winter months (December–January).
This full-day tour includes visits to the iconic King and Queen Pagodas, built on opposite peaks and surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Enjoy a short 10-minute nature trail walk through lush forest to reach the highest point in Thailand. We stop for a delicious Thai set menu lunch before continuing to two of the park’s most scenic waterfalls:
- Wachirathan Waterfall – cascading 80 meters over granite cliffs
- Sirithan Waterfall – named by Queen Sirikit during her visit in 2002 (“Siri” from her name + “than,” meaning waterfall)
On the way, we visit the Karen and Hmong hill tribe village at Baan Mae Klang Luang. You’ll have the chance to observe daily life and local culture in a village supported by one of the Royal Projects, aimed at sustainable development.
