The SMART Visa includes 5 subtypes designed for talent, investors, executives, startup founders, and their families in targeted industries.

SMART T (Talent)

Highly-skilled professionals in targeted industries (e.g. tech, health, biotech, energy, R&D)

  • No work permit required for employment in Thailand
  • Up to 4-year stay with fast-track services

SMART I (Investor)

Investors in technology-based businesses or startups in Thailand

To qualify for the SMART Visa, you must meet all criteria for your chosen subtype and obtain a qualification endorsement from the relevant Thai authority.
